    1. Wacky Relay Day
      6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

At the end of the summer season we have a day of crazy relays, Wacky Relay Day! Everyone gets a chance to come swim and have fun at the Koury Natatorium. The events, just to name a few, include a wacky stroke relay and a parent/child relay. There is also food provided for everyone and prizes for all the winning relay teams.

Wacky Relay Day is also where each teams final fundraising totals will be announced. The winning team receives an ice cream party sponsored by TCBY and a Wacky Relay Day trophy. While the top fundraising boy and girl each get an iPad 2. But to be sure that no one gets left out, every swimmer who raises $25 or more gets a Swim for Smiles FUNdays of Summer T-shirt!

    1. Swim for Smiles Youth Triathlon at GAC (all-day)
      Sep 8

Greensboro Aquatic Center – a fundraiser for the N.C. Children’s Hospital.

Our May Swim for Smiles Youth Triathlon in May was the largest of its kind in the country – with over 800 participants. And, USAT along with the Brader-Araje Foundation, awarded us a grant specifically with the goal of growing the sport of youth triathlon. So, we’ve partnered with the brand-new Greensboro Aquatics Center (GAC) to bring the Triad’s first-ever USA-Triathlon sanctioned race with the same course as Youth Nationals.

Open to kids from ages 5-17, the Swim for Smiles Youth Triathlon at GAC is a USA-Triathlon sanctioned event open for ALL levels of participants.

The Swim for Smiles Youth Triathlon @ GAC starts at 8am on September 8th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center’s indoor pool and moves to a bike and run around the Coliseum complex.

This is considered an easy triathlon and it designed for all levels of youth participants.

Every finisher receives a medal and the top three finishers of each age group will receive prizes!
