We signed our 11 yr old daughter up for the race a while back and she is very excited. We are looking forward to it. The main comment I have is that I’ve now been on this site for over 20 minutes and STILL have not been able to find the race parameters e.g., how long a swim, ride and run. I know we saw it when a friend of ours sent us the notice and told us her daughter was doing it….but despite having clicked on various links for the last 20 minutes, still have not gotten this simple and very important information. The blog format doesn’t lend itself to actually communicating the important info. I know where it is, why it’s there, how the cost is justified….everything except a reminder about how long each stage of the course is. Very frustrating. My daughter asked me this morning again how long each leg was and I said I’d check the site when I got to work…well…until I get an email from you, it appears I won’t know. Have meetings.

We are still thrilled to be a part of this and this is meant more constructively than to complain. It’s key info and it should be readily accessible through an easily identifiable link. The short and long course PDFs do not say, simply, in bold letters at the top…10 laps, 5 miles on bike, 2k run or whatever it is. How about a little help??

Brian, thank you for your post.

I am confused by your post as the distances are all over the place. For example, when you go to the Race page it’s about 1/3 of the way down the page (under COURSE OPTIONS ARE).

In addition, on the Home Page of the website, note the post with the pink graphic that say “2013 Course Maps and Info”. The course distances are actually printed on every single map.

Also, it’s in the Race Packet (the subject of Participant Email #1): http://swimforsmiles.org/current-triathlon/6/

Thus far, as you can see from this page: http://swimforsmiles.org/current-triathlon/6/ we have sent 3 participant emails.
